Courses/What?/Freeride (intermediates to advanced)
Course Aim To provide you with all the technique, confidence and subtle tips that will make you a much better windsurfer, what ever level you're currently at. From years of analysis and coaching, and with massive enthusiasm, I make it my goal to improve your windsurfing as much as possible, as fast as possible but as efficiently as possible.
Whether it's just the smallest of tips or a total revamp, you'll find the carefully delivered info, at exactly the right time, in the simplest possible way will make learning a lot of fun and remarkably easy. You might arrive with some bad habits or with no real idea of what to do next, but you will leave an accomplished windsurfer with the confidence to take on any windsurfing situation you encounter in the future and be hungry for more!
This is the perfect course to make the enormous leap from out-of-control out-of-the-footstraps and half drowning waterstarts into a flying machine hurtling across the water and around carve gybes. There is no other coaching that can compare with this trip or offer this level of progression and dedication.
Course Content Waterstarts, gybes, footstraps, harness, tacks, control, speed, freestyle, tuning, acceleration, upwind and more.
Venues Dahab, Red Sea Prasonisi, Greece Jeri, Brazil
Minimum Standard Should be able to do a basic beach start and have some experience in planing conditions (winds greater than force 4) but no need to have tried footstraps. Note- Dahab courses in June require a slightly higher level of windsurfing than other Freeride courses since it's always super windy at that time of year. In this respect, these courses participants should have some basic harness use and planing experience (not necessarily in footstraps.)
INfo I'll put an end to all the swimming and straining the muscles, making waterstarting easy and fast (especially the rig recovery) and show you how to keep the board under control, comfortably blasting in the footstraps and harness, instead swerving into the wind or catapulting!
Plus if you want to learn to carve gybe, this is the course for you. Whether you're only just managing to keep control in the footstraps or if you've been wobbling around your carve gybes for years, this course will sort your gybes out once and for all, including planing exits or duck gybes for the more experienced. Plus a few freestyle tricks to show off to your mates and so much more speed than you could ever dream of- literally everybody on these courses sail faster than they have ever been!
